Curse

I recently reinstalled guild wars after years of not playing, and every load time is horribly long(atleast 30 mins), and is making the game completely unplayable. It was never even close to like this when it was previously installed, anyone have an idea what is causing this? Could this have something to do with the EYE OF THE NORTH event?

My friend had this problem a while ago, it's a corrupted or fragmented Gw.dat.
Step 1: Defragment your hard drive.

Step 2: Delete your Gw.dat and run it with -image to re-download the game data. You could type this into your "run" dialog box.

Code:

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image

Then maybe go catch a movie or something.

Doesn't take that long...

Last time I had to reinstall and -image it took about 40 mins and that was with 2 power winks (it was storming).
